PANJIM: Led by its President Beena Shantaram Naik, a delegation of the Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress (GPMC) submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, on Friday.
They demanded that RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 be made compulsory for all tourists entering the Goa through various modes of transport from neighbouring States.
“We have demanded that a facility be created at the border itself where all those who are entering Goa be checked. We have also asked that the small hidden roads near the border be sealed and that there should be proper vigilance of the same,” said Beena.
She also called for checking of people coming to Goa via railways, flights and even water ways.
