CALANGUTE: Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi arrested Kishor Naik, a resident of Socorro, Porvorim for outraging the modesty of a woman on Tuesday.
Dalvi said that he received a complaint from a woman residing at Aradi, Candolim, that while she was at her shop at Candolim on Monday at around 5.30 pm, the accused abused her using foul language, vulgar and filthy words thereby insulting her modesty.
The police immediately registered an offence under Section 504 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code and during the course of investigation the 36-year-old accused was arrested on Tuesday.
