VALPOI: Ramesh Vishnu Dhuri, from Valvant Brahmakarmali village, attacked two Valpoi Police Station constables with a sickle reportedly after consuming alcohol.
According to Police Inspector, 34-year-old Ramesh Dhuri’s brother had complained to the Valpoi police that his brother Ramesh is always fighting with family members and abusing them after drinking.
“After the complaint we had sent two of our constables to Dhuri’s house to get the details,” said the police inspector.
No sooner the constables reached Dhuri’s hours, the accused started abusing them and attacked them with a sickle and also bit them on their hands, the police said.
“We have registered an assault case against Dhuri for attacking public servants. We will now produce the accused in the Valpoi court,” said Shivram Vaigankar, Police Inspector.
