A man identifying himself as ArputhaRaj has released a video claiming responsibility for the August 28 firing outside Majestic Casino in Porvorim, while making a series of allegations about the incident and naming casino director Shrinivas Nayak.
In the video, ArputhaRaj alleged that the shooting was a planned “cross-firing” exercise and claimed that he had been promised ₹1 crore to carry out the act. He further alleged that he had been assured that neither he nor Nayak would be harmed.

The man questioned the circumstances surrounding the firing, arguing that if the intention had genuinely been to kill Nayak, he could have targeted him from close range. He also questioned why the six rounds allegedly fired by Nayak’s bodyguard did not hit him.
ArputhaRaj claimed that he was now fearing for his life and alleged that “supari killers” were searching for him. He said he was willing to surrender before a court and place his version of events on record.
Crime Branch Calls Video a Diversion Tactic
Responding to the video, the Goa Police Crime Branch said that accused persons often resort to such tactics in an attempt to divert the attention of the investigating agency.
The Crime Branch maintained that a fair and impartial investigation into the firing incident is currently underway.
The allegations made in the video have not been independently verified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
