VASCO: An unidentified person posing as a bank official allegedly cheat-ed a Vasco resident of Rs 2,30,948 after persuading him to download a fraudulent mobile application.
Mahadev Tadel of Mundvel, Vasco, stated in his complaint that the incident occurred on February 7, 2026, when he received a phone call from an unknown person who introduced himself as a bank officer. The caller convinced him to download an application by sending an APK file, claiming it would facilitate easier banking transactions.
