Man held for assaulting brother at Mayem

BICHOLIM, SEPT 28
Bicholim Police on Tuesday arrested a 34-year-old man from Tikhajan-Mayem on charges of assaulting his brother.
According to reports, the incident occurred due to a brawl between Nilesh M Kawthankar and his brother Tejanand.
In a fit of anger, Nilesh assaulted Tejanand, who sustained head injuries. Seriously injured Tejanand was rushed to GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
Bicholim Police arrested Nilesh under Sections 324, 504 IPC and ASI V P Desai is investigating the case.
Meanwhile, in another incident, one Ramda Gaju Varak (21) from Kudchirem-Bicholim was reported missing since September 25. Bicholim Police is investigating the case.
