Mandrem sarpanch urges police to crack down on gambling

PERNEM: Mandrem Sarpanch Amit Sawant has writtern to the Pernem Police, urging them to take immediate action in eradicating illegal activities within the jurisdiction of the village panchayat. In a formal letter addressed to the police inspector of the Pernem police station, Sawant has emphasized the need for police intervention to combat various unlawful practices.

Sawant’s request includes a wide range of concerns, including gambling activities, if any, operating within the panchayat’s jurisdiction. He also called for action against bars/wine/liquor shops or establishments that operate beyond the specified time limits set by the competent authorities or in violation of the laid-down restrictions. 

Additionally, Sawant highlighted the issue of scrap yards, which were previously eliminated by the panchayat a few months ago. He emphasizes the significance of protecting the safety and well-being of the society by addressing these illegal activities to prevent any future consequences.

The appeal made by the Mandrem Sarpanch serves as a call to the Pernem Police to combat these unlawful operations and uphold the law within the village panchayat’s boundaries.
