SALIGAO: Three motorcycle borne unknown culprits snatched away a part of mangalsutra at Saligao, early morning on Saturday. The cost of the snatched part is estimated at Rs 55,000.
Investigating Officer Pednekar, of Saligao Police Station, said that a case has been registered against unknown persons. The victim is a resident of Donvaddo in Saligao and she managed to hold on to a part of her mangalsutra. She claims that the cost of the mangalsutra is around Rs 80,000.
“The incident occurred at around 6.45 am. The victim is unable to identify as the culprits as they were wearing masks and had stuck a paper on the number plate. The Saligao Police have registered a case under Sections 356, 379 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” Pednekar said.
