Margao blast case:accused remanded

MARGAO, JUNE 29
Prashant Ashtekar, who was arrested by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) in the Margao bomb blast case, has been remanded to Judicial custody.
The NIA had taken Ashtekar into their custody after the accused surrendered to the South Goa Sessions court.
The NIA has said that the investigating agency will take Prashant into custody again after effecting the arrest of the remaining accused, who are still at large.
Meanwhile, the South Goa Sessions court will pronounce its order on July 1 on framing of charges against the accused persons in the case.
While the prosecution has submitted to the court to frame charges against all the accused, persons, the defense has prayed that the accused be discharge on grounds there is no evidence whatsoever against them.
