Margao girl abducted, raped

MARGAO, JULY 24
Margao police arrested a resident of Benaulim on the charges of kidnapping and raping a girl from Margao on Friday morning.
PSI Mohan Gawde informed that the incident occurred at around 8 am when the accused, met the girl in the city this morning. The police claimed the boy allegedly took the girl to Benaulim, where he allegedly had forceful sexual intercourse.
Both the accused and the victim were referred for medical examination. The report is awaited.
Margao police station incharge, PI Santosh Dessai informed that both the accused and the victim were known to each other before the incident. The police are conducting further investigations.
