MARGAO: In a swift action, Margao Police Sub Inspector, Melson Collaco on Wednesday arrested Satya George, residing near Cuba Masjid, Khareband, Margao and recovered a chain and pendant snatched from Sameer Kinlekar, a native of Karnataka, presently residing near Raviraj hotel, Chinchalwadi, Margao.
In his complaint to Margao police, KInlekar alleged that the accused George and an unknown person snatched his gold chain worth Rs 40,000, besides cash of Rs 6000 on the flyover near Tandoor hotel, Khareband.
Police said the pendant on the chain was sold by the accused and the same has been recovered at the instance of the accused.
