The body of the middle aged man was found lying in
suspicious circumstances in the wee hours of Monday. The
Margao police initially registered a case of unnatural death,
but investigations later revealed that the unknown person
was involved in a brawl with a resident of Navelim and died
after he received a fatal blow on his head.
Upon further investigation, it came to light that the
deceased had sustained a head injury leading to his death.
Margao Police Station Incharge, PI Tushar Vernekar
informed that the police have arrested a 34-year-old
resident of Nagmodem-Navelim Milagres Francis Afonso in
connection with the murder. He said the police are
conducting further investigations.
