PANJIM: The 164th solemn Mass in honour of St. Francis Xavier will be organised by Citizens of Panjim on September 2 at 11 am in the Basilica of Bom Jesus , Old Goa.
There will be free launch (boat) service from Captain of Ports Jetty, Panjim to Old Goa at 9.30 am and back after the Mass.
There also will be thanksgiving Mass on September 10 at 9.30 am at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church Panjim.
The tradition of holding solemn Mass in honour of St Francis Xavier has been continuing for the last 163 years under the banner of “Sociedade De Morte” which is now known as “Panjimites Welfare Society”.
