MARGAO: The Netravali Matoli Bazaar 2019 will be held on August 31 and September 1 at Lohia Maidan this year. The bazaar is organised by the Atal Gram Development Agency for the seventh year in a row.
The bazaar is being organised to inculcate entrepreneurship among rural women, especially those belonging to the Scheduled tribal communities from Netravali village in Sanguem. Thirty self help groups will take part and sell their produce at the Matoli bazaar.
Briefing the media, Agriculture Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar said, “This Matoli Bazaar aims at giving a single place to seller and buyer of the Matoli material used as an offering and decoration to lord Ganesh during the Ganesh Chaturthi.”
