After riding a horse on Canacona beach last year, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat switched his mode of transport this year, but created similar excitement with an unusual two-wheeler.
Kamat rode a bicycle at a beach cycle polo exhibition match at Rajbag beach on Saturday.
Kamat pleasantly surprised the gathering as he sat on a bicycle, just before the prize distribution after the exhibition beach cycle polo match. He even rode the cycle around the specially erected platform polo ground.
The chief minister’s short ride attracted the media, as photographers ran from behind to capture the fleeting moment.
Interestingly, Chief Minister Kamat along with his wife, Asha, Canacona MLA Vijay Poi Khot and Lalit Suri Hospitality Group CMD Dr Jyostna Suri watched the entire match.
Amid heavy speculation that Canacona MLA Vijay Poi Khot had resigned as MLA on Saturday to join the Congress, Kamat set aside the rumours by referring to Khot as the “Canacona MLA”.
