MAYEM: Mayem Buvimochan Nagarik Kruti Samiti (MBNKS) has advised opposition leader Pratapsing Rane not to make attempts to solve the custodian issue by inserting the name of the custodian in the Form 1/14.
MBNKS Secretary Sakharam Pednekar in a press note accused Rane of advising to solve the custodian issue by inserting the name of the custodian in the Form 1/14. “This is not the proper solution for it,” stated Pednekar.
In the press note, Pednekar further expressed solidarity towards Rane for supporting the Mayem villagers when their houses were about to be demolished in 1995.
Meanwhile, the Dharna by MBNKS members at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan, Bicholim, entered the third day on Sunday.
BJP members including Kalidas Kavlekar, Narendra Tari, Mahesh Pednekar, Narendra Pednekar and Sakharam Pednekar have tendered their resignations as BJP members.
Shivsagar Sanghatana President Anand Narvekar and former Bicholim Municipal councillor Bhagwan Harmalkar have extended their support to the agitation.
