The meeting was held in the backdrop of the rumours that Shet would not get the BJP ticket and the BJP President, Vinay Tendulkar’s statement that at least three sitting MLAs would be denied ticket. The supporters demanded that Shet should be given the ticket and they strongly supported him. They also highlighted the development carried out by Shet.
