MAYEM: Taking serious cognizance of rising cases of public nuisance at Chorla Ghat in Keri-Sattari, Bicholim Deputy Collector Narayan Gad has convened a special meeting on Friday to work out ways to control the menace.
Gad has asked officials from police, excise, forest, transport, fire and PWD to remain present for the meeting to discuss the strategy to control the public nuisance.
It may be recalled that Gad had visited the area and conducted a survey to check on the rising incidents of public nuisance created by tourists and some locals.
Following his visit, Gad had posted police officials at the site on Saturdays and Sundays to keep control over the situation by way of patrolling. During one such patrol duties, police arrested a government servant for obstructing traffic, while a group of 12 people was also warned to stop creating a nuisance on the public road.
