The hour-long meeting chaired by Additional Collector Ronkon Pereira was attended by the officials of the district administration, transport, electricity, PWD, Disaster Management Cell, police and traffic police.
Measures pertaining to how the district administration and departments should tackle any incident occurring during the two-day summit were discussed. “We appeal to the general public to co-operate with us and keep open the route identified for the use of dignitaries, attending the BRICS summit”, said Pereira.
He also said that the main route from Verna-Old Market, Margao will be blocked for public from October 14 to 17. However, some adjustment will be made for the people attending the Colva Fama on October 17.
