MAPUSA: A mentally challenged minor girl has been raped by an unknown person.
According to a complaint lodged by the girl’s father at the Mapusa police station, he took his daughter to a doctor after she started vomiting few days ago. After a check up, the doctor informed him that the girl was two and half a month pregnant.The family suspects that a labourer, who was residing in the vicinity, raped the mentally challenged girl.Following the complaint, Mapusa police have registered an offence against an unknown person under Section 376, 363 of IPC, Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and Sections 4, 8, 12 of POSCO.
