MGP leader, Curti dy Sarpanch settle dispute at Ponda PS

PONDA: Ponda Police on Tuesday finally settled the dispute between MGP leader Ketan Bhatikar and Curti deputy Sarpanch Shailesh Shet over a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch.
In show of strength, Ketan and Shailesh visited the police Station with their supporters.
PI Harish Marcaikar had called both Ketan and Shailesh Shet to the Ponda Police Station following complaint by Shailesh alleging that he was threatened by Ketan for refusing to accept Rs 15 lakh bribe and new flat to sign no-confidence motion against Curti Sarpanch.
Shailesh further stated in his complaint that he was threatened with dire consequences if he refused to support the STP at Curti and sign a no-confidence motion. Based on his complaint, PI called both Ketan and Shailesh to the police station and the matter was settled amicably. Ketan said, “Shailesh withdrew complaint against him. Though I was defamed the issue is sorted now. It happened due to misunderstanding of Shailesh.”
Shailesh said, “The issue has been settled following a discussion. We don’t want to drag it. I have withdrawn the complaint as I have to focus on development work.”
