PONDA: Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) President and former State Minister, Deepak Dhavalikar, was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim on Tuesday after he complained that he was experiencing uneasiness.

There was news on social media that he had suffered a heart attack and had been admitted to GMC for treatment.
However, his brother and MGP MLA Sudin Dhavalikar said Deepak was at home and that the family noticed that him feeling uneasy and having symptoms of a mild attack. Following which, he was shifted to a private hospital in Ponda at 2 pm on Tuesday and from there he was later shifted to GMC. It is learnt that he is under observation in the ICU.
Sudin added that the doctors at GMC informed the family that Deepak’s condition is now stable.
Sudin added that Deepak was earlier undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Manipal Hospital. He was detected to be asymptomatic and after treatment he had been discharged five days ago.
