Margao: The Goa Forward Party is set to move a breach of privilege motion against the Water Resource Minister of Goa for allegedly giving out false replies to the questions asked by the GFP on the River Mhadei case.
President Vijai Sardesai said that his allegation claiming that the Chief Minister is a “pathological liar” today stands vindicated and he should step down from the Chief Minister’s chair.

GFP Chief Vijai said, “The CM can’t escape by not being detected when you betray the State of Goa on the issue of Mhadei River which is the lifeline of the State. All the successive governments have fought this case for Goa but Dr Pramod Sawant is a contributor to the sell-out of the River Mhadei which he said is his mother. He has betrayed his mother and the entire State of Goa and now has no moral right to occupy the chair of the Chief Minister of the State of Goa.”
The GFP asked why didn’t the government make a specific application to the Supreme Court that the tribunal order was not objected to wrongly by Adv Arvind Datar?
“An application had to go immediately showing the stand of the State,” said Vijai while further alleging that (in his words) the “Bhrashtachari Janata Party” has betrayed the State of Goa and the same will be repeated in Mollem too, same will be repeated to make Goa a coal corridor.
He charged that the ruling party has become the “logistics contractor of Karnataka”.
“The Chief Minister claimed that the Counsel of Goa appearing before the Mhadei Tribunal Adv Datar did not state facts. However, today the advocate goes on to claim that he did not object to the award on his own accord. Because he did this, the government changed him and Adv Mukul Rohatgi was taken. Adv Datar is still in the group of counsels,” highlighted Vijai.
Taking a dig at the WRD Minister, the Fatorda MLA advised that the WRD Minister Filipe Neri Rodrigues should sit at home and not enter his cabin until he comes clear on the issue.
