Mickky informs court that he needs more time

MARGAO: As former minister Francisco ‘Mickky’ Pacheco’s advocate sought time to file reply to the application made by the State, Judicial Magistrate First Class Sahir Shirazali Issani on Monday posted the matter in connection with the case filed against Pacheco and two others, for October 18, 2019.
Based on a complaint lodged by Fanny D’Silva, Verna police had filed a case against Pacheco, Robino Fernandes and Seby Vaz for threatening and abusing her son Melroy on March, 11, 2018.
At the last hearing on August 21, 2019, Assistant Public Prosecutor Utkarsh Audi had sought time to produce the video on record as the same had to be copied on a pen drive and hence the matter was fixed for Monday.
However, on Monday, Pacheco’s advocate said they needed time to file a reply to the application made by the State.
