Mickky moves HC for bail

PANJIM, JULY 15 Former Tourism Minister Mickey Pacheco today moved to the High court with the bail plea, which is likely to be heard tomorrow. Amit Palekar, lawyer representing Pacheco, said that the application is moved before the High Court, which will be heard tomorrow. The matter would be heard by single bench comprising Justice N A Britto.

Former Tourism Minister Mickey Pacheco today moved to the High court with the bail plea, which is likely to be heard tomorrow.
Amit Palekar, lawyer representing Pacheco, said that the application is moved before the High Court, which will be heard tomorrow.
The matter would be heard by single bench comprising Justice N A Britto.
In the past Justice Britto, had recused the anticipatory bail petition filed before him by Pacheco.
Earlier this week, the Sessions Court in Margao had rejected the bail plea filed by Pacheco, who is currently in police custody in connection with death of Nadia Torrado.
Sources stated the former minister has said that there is change in circumstances from the time when his bail plea was rejected as he is in the police custody and regularly being interrogated.
During the bail plea hearing this week before Session Court, Crime branch had stated that Pacheco was not cooperating with them and they had no time to interrogate him.
Police had stated that they had recovered five mobiles and three SIM cards used by the former minister from May 1 to 15, when Nadia consumed poison.
