Benaulim MLA Mickky Pacheco not only skipped the second round of questioning by the Crime branch, but was conspicuous by his absence at the free note book distribution functions organised by him in the new constituency of Nuvem on Saturday morning.
Free note books were distributed by Pacheco on Saturday in the villages of Loutolim, Nuvem, Verna and Nagoa – villages falling in the new Assembly constituency of Nuvem – where the Benaulim MLA has set his eyes to contest against Power Minister Alexio Sequeira in the coming Assembly polls.
Pacheco, however, skipped the function at Nuvem, where he was scheduled to make his presence felt and distribute free note books to around 1200 students.
In his absence, the books were distributed by Viola for some time before Nuvem Zilla Panchayat Member Wilfred De Sa did the job for the MLA.
Wilfred informed that 10 note books were distributed to each of the 1200 students in Nuvem village.
He said the books have been sponsored by the Benaulim MLA.
“Free note books have been distributed in Nagoa, Verna, Loutolim and Cortalim today”, he said.
