MARGAO: Goa Vikas Party (GVP) supremo Mickky Pacheco has slammed the Aam Admi Party on Sunday, making it clear that his party would oppose the candidates fielded by the party in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
Timing his statement to coincide with the opening of the AAP’s offices in North and South Goa, Mickky said that people are not fools to believe in the new party, saying the BJP had also given high hopes to Goans in the run up to the 2012 Assembly polls.
“The BJP had given so many promises to Goans on the eve of the Assembly polls. The mining scam is one example wherein the government is yet to recover the loss from the people who looted the state,” the Nuvem MLA said.
He has demanded to know why Arving Kejrival has formed the government in Delhi with Congress support when the AAP had attacked the party for misrule and corruption for the last 15 years.
“Kejrival has lost his principle as he has taken the support of the very corrupt Congress to form the government. These jokers, who have joined the AAP in Goa, should also know that they have been attacking politicians as corrupt and criminals. They have been generalising the political class without appreciating the good work put in by honest politicians. Let us now see how they perform since they are now in politics,” Mickky said.
