MARGAO: Goa Vikas Party supremo Mickky Pacheco has demanded that the State buy stakes in FC Goa team in Indian Soccer League (ISL) to preserve the Goan identity of the club.. 
Mickky said that he requested the government to maintain 25% stakes in the team, however, he said, the same was not heeded to.
Addressing a press conference at Margao, Mickky said that the government was urged on the floor of the House to allow him to buy stakes at the ISL as a football lover of Goa. 
Meanwhile, Mickky said that his party convention would be held on October 23, wherein the party would announce three-fourth of the candidates for polls. 
Meanwhile, he alleged that the government is not serious in solving the problems and help the Goan businessmen.
