MARGAO: Minguelina alias Bela D’Souza was unanimously elected as the new sarpanch of Raia Village Panchayat, on Thursday.

The elections were necessitated as the previous sarpanch Esmeralda Fernandes e Gomes had resigned from the post on March 31.
At the time of her resignation, she said she was resigning on her own free will and without any pressure from any source.
