CURCHOREM: GSIDC chairman Deepak Pauskar on Tuesday informed that three MLAs from the mining belt would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to seek extension to the mining leases as per MMDR Act.
Speaking to media at Sanvordem, Pauskar said that the MLAs would seek Rs 350,000 crore with regards to mining and the same could be repaid in instalments by the state government once mining resumes.
“We require this amount to restart mining and to support the mining dependents including those whose services have been terminated by the mining companies,” said Pauskar.
