Dhavlikar was addressing a special gram sabha called by Tiverem-Orgao Panchayat.
“The panchayat needs to create awareness on garbage management in its nine wards to increase public participation in garbage segregation,” said Dhavlikar.
Dhavlikar advised the panchayat to convene a meeting with hoteliers, business establishments and religious institutions in connection with garbage management. He assured the panchayat to make available land for a garbage management project and also promised to take up the sewerage treatment plant in Tivrem Orgao Panchayat.
