A 22-year-old man, who had been reported missing since Friday, was found dead in the Bendwada River beneath the Bendwada Bridge in Sanguem on Saturday.
According to sources, the victim’s family had lodged a missing person complaint with the Sanguem Police after he failed to return home on Friday. His body was discovered in the river the following day.

Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and conducted a panchanama before initiating further legal formalities.
The body was later sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Sanguem Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and further inquiries are underway.
