MARGAO: Leader of Opposition and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Sunday appealed to business houses and traders to observe voluntary lockdown for a week from Monday to help break the chain of rapidly spreading COVID infections in the State and particularly in Margao.

He lamented that the “irresponsible BJP government” is in no mood to listen to the various voices including his own that has been asking for an extension of lockdown even though the number of cases are increasing.

In view of the situation, he appealed to all business houses including the traders and those involved in small occupations to observe voluntary lockdown for one week starting from Monday.
