MARGAO: Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco on Saturday demanded that the Directorate of Education conduct online classes for the students of Class X, who are asked to attend classes in school.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, Aleixo pointed out that Goa is witnessing an increase in COVID cases due to the second wave, in support of his online classes demand.
Besides, he pointed out that the Education Department has already arranged to conduct online examinations for the Class IX and XI students, where the students will be able to answer their papers from their homes.
He stated, “Goa would do well to follow the Maharashtra government model of breaking the chain order during the surge of COVID 19 cases in the second wave and appealed that all classes should now be conducted online along with the examinations.”
