MLA Nilesh Cabral has challenged South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes to produce concrete proof to substantiate his claims of having access to “confidential information,” stating that such serious allegations must be backed by evidence.
Reacting strongly to the MP’s assertions, Cabral said that making unverified statements only creates unnecessary fear and confusion among the public. He maintained that if Fernandes possesses any sensitive or confidential information, it should be presented transparently before the people.

Cabral also reiterated his firm stand on the continued operation of Dabolim Airport, stressing its importance for the region.
“Dabolim Airport must continue operations. We need Dabolim,” the MLA asserted, adding that the airport plays a crucial role in Goa’s connectivity, economy and employment generation.
He urged political leaders to act responsibly and avoid misleading statements, especially on issues that directly affect livelihoods and public interest.
