Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar has extended financial support to differently-abled student Daksh Rajendra Polji of Mainwada, Korgao, helping him pursue his ambition of becoming a Chartered Accountant despite significant financial challenges.
After completing his higher secondary education at Kamaleshwar Higher Secondary School, Daksh enrolled at Ambiye College in Pernem. As his disability requires him to use specialised transport to commute to college, Arlekar has been meeting his monthly travel expenses, ensuring that his education continues uninterrupted.

Daksh belongs to a financially struggling family. His father lost a leg due to illness and is unable to work, while his mother manages the household. The family’s primary source of income is his sister, who works as a freelance beautician, along with the government assistance received by Daksh and his father.
Determined to continue his studies, Daksh has appealed for support in acquiring an automatic wheelchair and a laptop, which he says are essential for his mobility and academic pursuits.
Expressing gratitude to MLA Pravin Arlekar for his continued assistance, Daksh appealed to philanthropists, social workers and voluntary organisations to come forward and support his educational journey so that he can fulfil his dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
