“The students have been asked to pay exam fees by Goa University. I would like to highlight here that the Goa University fees are much higher in comparison to other universities and some parents could not afford to pay these high fees in the present circumstances of COVID -19, wherein they have lost jobs,” he said.

Reginaldo requested the university to have a check on the syllabus covered and portion allotted to them for the exam as there is uncertainty about the portion for exams.

He said it has been nearly three months since the students are under the exam stress and such a long gap has led to difficulties in memorising the portion, which may affect their career and their mental health.

“I also would like to stress here about increasing COVID -19 cases in Vasco and surrounding areas, which are creating a panic among the students/parents in Vasco and in the other parts of the State,” he said.
