MAPUSA: Shiv Sena State President Jitesh Kamat on Tuesday alleged that the Mapusa MLA is trying to eye wash people by taking up the Mapusa River issues.
“The Mapusa MLA commenced the work of de-silting by offering a coconut. This is a political stunt since such activity was not taken up earlier,” Kamat said.

“The Mapusa MLA is misguiding people of Mapusa by giving assurance that he will solve the issues of Mapusa River. However, he has failed since his instructions are ignored even by the highway contractor,” he added.
“The river water is blocked due to dumping of debris by the highway contractor due to ongoing work of the highway,” Kamat alleged.
