MAPUSA: Colvale police apprehended two Bihar natives on Tuesday for stealing jewellery under the pretext of polishing and shining gold ornaments.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Mahiruddin (25) and Jitenara Sudhir Saha (27) both natives of Bhagalpur, Bihar and at present residing near Railway Station, Margao.

According to police, both approached one Ujwala Narse resident of Auchitwado, Tivim on the pretext of polishing and shining gold bangles at her house and robbed gold weighing 14 grams worth around Rs 50,000.
Both accused persons are arrested under Section 379 r/w 34 IPC. Head constable Mahadev Parab is further investigating the case.
