MARGAO: A discussion between Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik and activist Camilo Barreto on Monday turned sour with both lodging complaints against each other with Margao Town Police only to withdraw the same in the evening.
Siddhivinayak had complained against Camilo accusing him of restraining him from performing his rightful duties and alleged that Camilo prevented him from getting into the car to go to the Sub-Registrar’s office. Camilo complained to the police that Siddhivinayak sullied him by derogatorily calling out his caste which is an offence.
However, by evening both had withdrawn their complaints. Incidentally, this is the fourth such complaint lodged by Naik.
