VASCO: Elections to the post of chairperson and vice chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council will be held June 26. A special meeting will be convened by the Director of Municipal Administration in this regards.
Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes informed that Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer Siddhivinayak Naik will be presiding over the meeting which will be held on June 26 at around 11 am.
The elections are necessitated after then Chairman Kritesh Gaunkar and Vice Chairman Shashikant Parab were voted out on May 3.
According to sources, Nandadeep Raut from the panel of Carlos Almeida is likely to run for the chairman’s position.
