MARGAO: In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in which Margao has turned into a hot spot, Margao Municipal Council Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes has called for an emergency meeting on April 9, to discuss how to control public presence at market places.
He has appealed to the presidents of New Market Association and Gandhi Market Association, representative of South Goa Planning and Development Authority, Salcete Mamlatdar, Margao Police Inspector, and market and sanitary inspectors of the council to be present for the meeting.
“We have to do anything and everything possible to stop the spread of this virus,” he said while appealing to all to co-operate with the council.
