MARGAO: Elections for the vacant post of Margao Municipal vice chairperson will be held on November 8.
Director of Municipal Administration Elvis Gomes has issued an order to hold the elections on Friday morning. Election for the post of vice- chairperson has been necessitated following the ouster of municipal vice-chairperson Berta Cardozo in a no confidence motion.
The 14-member group of Councillors has already announced its decision to field Councillor Dadi Mayenkar for the vacant post.
