The group has taken objection on some of the points of the MMC as waste of expenditure and time. The group has also demanded the reduction of exhibition and sale in Margao to enable the market vendors to earn a fair living.
Nelson Fernandes took objection on the number of agenda points in the MMC meeting convened on Friday. “The fact that they have pushed in 44 points in the agenda, some of which are not urgent and important in nature makes it amply clear that it is a desperate attempt by the MMC council to get them on track,” Nelson said.
Croydon Meidera has objected the point for purchasing of 2 new vehicles for the Engineers of MMC. “The MMC has an agenda point of purchasing 2 large vehicles for engineers. How many times do these engineers venture out for inspections or for that matter court cases?”
This is a huge expenditure and waste” says Croydon.
The MMC meet on Friday too will be stormed by several people and is surely going to be yet another stormy session.
