In the first half, Curtorim Gymkhana led 2-0.
Mario Mascarenhas put Curtorim Gymkhana ahead in the 10th minute with a deft placement after receiving a cross from Marcus Fernandes.
Curtorim Gymkhana were all pumped up with the overwhelming fans cheering and they doubled the advantage in the 20th as Mario secured his brace with a stiff grounder off an assist by Joaquim Carvalho.
Crossing over, Joaquim Carvalho joined the party with the third goal for Curtorim Gymkhana in the 45th minute off an assist by Mario.
However, Verna regrouped with renewed ideas and pulled a goal back through Ajoy Satorkar in the 48th minute to bring the match back to life.
Soon, Stanley Fernandes scored another goal for Verna SC in the 50th minute but in the dying minutes Mario put the issue beyond doubt as he completed his fine hat-trick.
President of Sporting Clube de Goa, Peter Vaz was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of ex-MP Francisco Sardinha, Ernest Moniz, Zilla parishad member Fatima Gauncar, Shalom Sardinha and other dignitaries.
The winners received Rs 44,000 and the trophy while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 25,000 and a trophy.
