MARGAO: To clear up the confusion over the issuing of NOCs for water and electricity connections by the Margao Municipal Council (MMC), a joint meeting was held between the MMC, PWD and Power Department.
MMC had recently taken a decision to stop the process of issuing NOCs for such water and electricity connections based on a recent government circular that had stated these ‘No-Objection Certificates’ are no longer required.
However, there was still confusion amongst the members of the public who were claiming that they were being sent by the PWD and Power department to the MMC to collect such NOCs.
, which was the norm in the past.
In this regard, the MMC Chief Officer (CO) Rohit Kadam held a joint meeting with officials from the PWD and Electricity department to clarify MMC’s position on this.
