MARGAO: Konkan Railway police is expected to receive photographs of the group of persons from Chiplun travelling in the Goa bound Janshatabdi Express when the two Goan students were molested in the train on Sunday.
Police Sub-Inspector Dattaguru Sawant informed that the Chiplun-based company has promised to cooperate with the ongoing investigation in the molestation case by assuring to send photographs of all the 140-odd employees who had come down to Goa for a day long tour on Sunday.
“The police are expecting the photographs of the employees tonight and we will call the two girls for identification of the accused on Wednesday. If the two victims manages to identify the accused molesters, a Konkan railway police team will head to Chiplun to arrest the accused persons,” Sawant said.
He pointed out that investigations have now revealed that the company officials and staff had boarded the train at Chiplun for a day long tour to Goa. “They alighted at the Thivim railway station and headed to the North Goa beach belt and returned home the next day. I have contacted the company HR officials, who have now promised to send the photographs of all the employees, who had boarded the Goa-bound train,” he said.
