MARGAO: A Konkan railway police team headed by PSI Dattaguru Sawant is heading to a paint company at Chiplun-Maharashtra on Thursday morning to investigate into the molestation incident in the Janshatabdi train, even as the two Goan girl students are believed to have identified suspects in connection with the incident.
Though the HR department of the paint firm had despatched photographs of the group of employees who had travelled to Goa on Sunday for a day’s tour, police said the photograph of the main accused was surprisingly found missing in the lot and hence the victims could not identify the main culprit. “Based on the description given by the two victims, we have zeroed in on five suspects involved in the molestation. But the photograph of the main accused is missing from the list of photographs”, PSI Sawant said, adding that the police would ask the firm to cooperate with the investigation.
“The police do not want to get all the 140 members of the group to Margao for investigation. Hence we will ask the HR department to cooperate so that the culprits are brought to book”, PSI Sawant said.
