MARGAO: Over the last few days we have seen that there have been several cases of molestation of students which have come to light, especially at school.
First it was at Madkai in Ponda, and then later a teacher from Cuncolim was also booked for the same. Now Bailancho Ekvott has condemned the recent incidents of molestation against female students by their teachers
Women’s Activist Auda Viegas said, “I condemn these incidents which have occurred in Bardez, Goa University and South Goa. Teachers should know how to treat their students. Otherwise they are not fit, be it PE teachers or any teachers. The government wants to protect students. If we as teachers cannot protect them, we are not fit to be teachers. They should either resign or should be terminated. It is good that the teachers concerned have been arrested.”
