MARGAO: Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson Deepak Naik has resigned from his post.
Stating that he resigned for personal reasons, Naik has reassured that the next chairperson would be from the BJP and would be the deserving one.
Naik said, “All know that two-and-a-half years ago the municipality was in a bad financial state and now after constant efforts we have managed to accumulate at least Rs 18 crore in the coffers.”
“The Vasco Municipality had earned the name of a musical chair but we have changed it and have provided a stable council,” he said.
